The MS Nile Style Nile cruise is a solid, ordinary five-star-label ship on the busiest weekly rhythm of the river. It is worth booking if the agency price beats a comparable platform cruise once you add entry fees, and if you are happy to rely on an agency for every detail. There is no official site to check, so ask for recent cabin photos before you pay.

Verdict
3.3/ 5
A standard Luxor–Aswan ship with a long history and cabins last renovated in 2015, sold at mid-range agency prices that already include entry fees and a guide. What holds the score back is how little is published: no official website, no owner named, and every fact comes from sellers. It is a sensible booking if the price is right, not one to pay a premium for.

The ship: decks, cabins and suites
The Nile Style was launched in November 1999 and renovated in 2005, and its cabins were redone in 2015, according to the agency that sells it most openly. It has five decks, 77 standard cabins described as facing the Nile, two Ambassador Suites and two Presidential Suites, so 81 units in all. There is a pool on the sun deck.
That is a mid-sized ship for the Luxor–Aswan route: smaller than the biggest (JAZ Crown Empress has 128 units), larger than boutique ships of 30–50 cabins. No cabin sizes, deck plan or lift details are published, so ask for them, and ask which deck your cabin is on.
"Nile-facing" describes the window, not the view. At busy moorings in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, ships often tie up side by side, so your window may face the next ship.
Star ratings need a note. Most ships sold to foreigners call themselves five-star; the label covers a wide range, and no public ministry list of rated Nile ships exists. Treat "5-star" on the Nile Style as the seller's description.
Itinerary: Luxor on Monday, Aswan on Friday
The Nile Style leaves Luxor on Monday for 4 nights to Aswan, and Aswan on Friday for 3 nights back to Luxor. That is the same rhythm as Sonesta St. George and Moon Goddess, Mövenpick's Royal Lily and Hamees, JAZ Elite Regent and Steigenberger Legacy.
We have no hour-by-hour plan for the Nile Style, but on this rhythm the sites are the standard ones: Karnak and Luxor Temple, the West Bank (Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut), Edfu, Kom Ombo, and in Aswan the High Dam and Philae. Going upstream from Luxor is the slower 4-night version, usually with Kom Ombo late in the day. The 3-night trip from Aswan packs Kom Ombo and Edfu into one day. Our guides to the Luxor to Aswan and Aswan to Luxor cruises show the published day-by-day timetables of ships on the same weekdays.
- 0 kmLuxorStart or end of every standard cruise. Ships moor along the East Bank and at private docks south of town; Karnak, Luxor Temple and the West Bank are visited from here.
- 50 kmEsnaAbout 50 km upriver. Ships pass the Esna lock (two ships per lockage), often at night; many ships stop here overnight without visiting the temple.
- EdfuBetween Esna and Kom Ombo. The Temple of Horus is visited by horse carriage or coach from the quay, usually in the morning.
- Kom OmboRiverside temple, open for entry until 20:00: upstream ships stop at dusk, downstream ships come early in the morning.
- 200 kmAswanAbout 200 km by river from Luxor. Philae, the High Dam and a felucca or motorboat round Kitchener's Island; last night of a dahabiya trip at the Aswan bridge dock.
Distances along the river, rounded; ships also stop at the Esna lock and sometimes moor at Kom Ombo for the night.

Prices: what MS Nile Style costs
There is no direct rate to quote, because there is no official site. The agency's published "from" fares, per person, are:
| Trip | Summer | Winter |
|---|---|---|
| 3 nights from Aswan (Friday) | $599 | $779 |
| 4 nights from Luxor (Monday) | $759 | $999 |
These are based on three people sharing, so ask for the double-cabin rate. They include full board, an Egyptologist guide and standard entry fees. That matters: if a cruise excludes fees, the eight core sites cost EGP 4,060 per foreign adult. Drinks, tips (agencies suggest roughly US$5–10 per person per night for the crew plus US$10–15 per person per day for the guide), optional tours and any New Year's Eve gala supplement come on top.
Compare that with a platform cruise. GetYourGuide's 3-night cruise from Aswan with Abu Simbel and a balloon flight starts from $580. It doesn't name the ship ("5-star ship or similar"), and entry-fee inclusion isn't stated in most listings, so check the "includes" box.

For prices across the fleet, see Nile cruise prices. Agency fares for Monday/Friday ships in the same class include Nile Dolphin ($650–785 for 3 nights) and, at the budget end, Nile Shams ($406–616).

What travellers say, and what to check
We have no reliable summary of guest reviews for the Nile Style to pass on. When you read reviews elsewhere, look at the date: the cabins were renovated in 2015, so older reviews describe a different interior. Before you book, ask the agency for:
- Recent photos of the cabin category you are buying, not brochure images
- The deck of your cabin and whether the price is for a double or a triple
- The entry-fee list: which sites are covered and whether Tutankhamun's tomb (EGP 700) is extra
- Where the ship boards in Luxor on Monday, so you can plan transfers

How to book MS Nile Style
The Nile Style is sold through Egyptian agencies. No owner is published, and one agency refers to an "official Nile Style website" without giving a link; the nilestyle.com domain belongs to an unrelated photographer. Book through an agency that names the ship on its confirmation, and pay a deposit only once you have the ship's name, deck and inclusions in writing.
No platform sells the Nile Style under its own name. If you'd rather book on GetYourGuide, a "5-star ship or similar" cruise like the 4-day cruise from Aswan with Abu Simbel and balloon (from $580, 4.5 from 555 reviews) is the nearest equivalent. Ask the operator for the ship's name straight after booking. Most GetYourGuide bookings can be cancelled free up to 24 hours ahead, but multi-day cruises may differ, so check the listing.
Alternatives to MS Nile Style
- For more certainty at a similar price, Mayfair publishes its own per-night rates, with fees and transfers included.
- For a budget ship, look at Nile Shams or Chateau Lafayette.
- For balconies in 49 of 53 rooms, consider Sonesta Moon Goddess on the same weekdays (sightseeing is extra if you book direct).
