The boat and where it boards
The Nile Crystal boards at 7 Nile Corniche in Maadi, on the east bank at the start of the Maadi Corniche, about 7 km south of downtown. Maadi is a residential district popular with expats; if you are staying there, this is your boat. From Giza or Zamalek hotels it is a longer cross-city transfer, so book a pick-up or allow time in evening traffic.
Who runs the boat today isn't published; a 2011 local review named Misr Travel. On board there is a dining room and an open top deck, which sellers invite you to use for photos. That deck matters: unlike the single-level Maxim, you are not stuck with the view from your table. The route passes Cairo Tower and Qasr el-Nil Bridge, per the sellers.
Nile Crystal sittings: the sunset cruise and the late ones
The Crystal runs a sunset sitting around 18:00 and later dinner sittings. Listings disagree on the exact clock (one shows 20:30 and 23:00, another 19:30 and 22:00, which may be summer and winter time), so take the time on your voucher, and report about 30 minutes before.
Is the sunset sailing really at sunset? Only in part of the year. Cairo's sunset moves from about 17:00 in winter to about 20:00 in midsummer, with the clocks changing on the last Friday of April and the last Thursday of October. For a sitting that leaves at 18:00:

Nile Crystal buffet, drinks and dress
Dinner is an open buffet with separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian spreads. Alcohol is sold on board; coffee, tea and water are not included, and you can't bring your own drinks. Budget for that and carry some cash.
The show is the classic Cairo set: tanoura (the whirling skirt dance), belly dance and live folk music, with some Western tunes. Dress is smart casual: no beachwear, smart shoes recommended.

Today Tiqets is cheapest at $27 (only 4 reviews), Headout's standard and sunset tickets are $31 with hundreds of reviews (4.4 from 392 and 200), and Headout's guaranteed-window ticket is $39 (4.5 from 340). The boat, buffet and show are the same on all of them; Tiqets names its supplier as FTS Travels.
The "Headout Exclusive" window seat is a table by the window assigned before you board, pre-booked by Headout's supplier. On the Crystal, with its open deck, the $8 upgrade is a nice-to-have rather than essential; on the Maxim it matters more.
The Crystal is not sold on GetYourGuide by name. GetYourGuide's best-selling generic Nile dinner cruise doesn't say which boat you get, so if you want the Crystal, book it by name.
